What inspired you to get into this line of work?
I felt lost, overwhelmed, and isolated as a family caregiver to my parents. My health and happiness suffered from caregiver burnout. My caregiving season has been the toughest season of my life since I was also raising two teenagers and working full-time. I created a company that I wish existed for me. Now I can fast-track family caregivers to the resources they crave and need.
What's one piece of insight you wish all families knew?
Caregiving requires a team of support. Don't wait until a crisis happens to seek support and resources. Being proactive in finding others who understand what you are going through will help mitigate future stress and overwhelm.
What excites you most about working with Addio families?
I want to meet family caregivers where they are and help them learn practical ways to prioritize their health and happiness. They can be a terrific family caregiver AND live a happy and healthy life.
